PINOT NOIR

This high quality dry red wine comes from hand selected Pinot Noir grapes that grow on the rolling hills of the Stone Castle Vineyards at an altitude of 360-460 metres. The hills around the Rahovec Valley have been producing wines since Illyrian times and have been the epicentre of viticulture in this beautiful region for many centuries. This Pinot Noir is aged there for 8 months in oak barrels the colours light ruby and distinguishes itself with aromas of forest fruits that gently and pleasantly caress the palate.

MERLOT SELECTION

This high-quality wine comes from a select 3 hectares of the Stone Castle vineyard in Rahovec. The hills surrounding the Rahovec Valley have been producing wines since Illyrian times and have been the epicentre of viticulture in this beautiful region for many centuries. This is where the grapes for the Merlot Selection grow on a gravel subsoil at an altitude of 420 – 480 metres, ensuring optimum sunshine. The best grapes are then selected by hand during the late harvest. This wine is aged for 20 months in oak barrels. The cherry, plum, and dark forest fruit essences harmoniously fulfil the wine with complexity and softness, and a blissful long-lasting aftertaste.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON RESERVE

This great Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown at an altitude of 450 metres on the hillsides of the Stone Castle Vineyards, where they enjoy the many hours of sunshine. The hills surrounding the Rahovec Valley have been producing wines since Illyrian times and have been the epicentre of viticulture in this beautiful region for many centuries. Only the best grapes are selected by hand during the late harvest, the wine ripens for 18 months in oak barrels under constant temperature in the wine cellars of Stone Castle. With a nose of forest fruits and the taste of blackcurrant and black raspberry, this wine delights with fine tannins and a long finish.

SHIRAZ

This high quality dry red wine comes from the vineyards of Stone Castle. The hills surrounding the Rahovec Valley have been producing wines since Illyrian times and have been the epicentre of viticulture in this beautiful region for many centuries. Only the best Shiraz grapes are selected and handpicked and aged for 12/14 months in oak barrels, the intense ruby colour with violet hues, the wine distinguishes itself with the characteristic taste of warm summer fruit, blackberry and blueberry. The unhindered flow of dark berry flavours give this wine a full, exotic body and a long finish.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON

This high quality dry red wine comes from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, all hand-picked in Stone Castle Vineyards. The hills surrounding the Rahovec Valley have been producing wines since Illyrian times and have been the epicentre of viticulture in this beautiful region for many centuries. The wine is aged there for 12 months in oak barrels. This wine colours deep ruby red, and has a cheerful bouquet of forest fruit. The mild tannins give it a full and pleasant taste.

MERLOT

This high quality dry red wine with protected designation of origin, is made from the Merlot grapes found in Stone Castle vineyards. The hills surrounding the Rahovec Valley have been producing wines since Illyrian times and have been the epicentre of viticulture in this beautiful region for many centuries. The wine here is aged in oak barrels for 12 months. The deep dark ruby complements the eminent aromas of raspberry, strawberry, and blackberry. In addition, the wine contains soft tannins that contribute to its special and full-bodied taste. Our Merlot is a pleasantly drinkable wine that feels at home in any situation.

OWNER’S CHOICE GRAND RESERVE

This enchanting wine is made from delicately tended Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, which grow on gently rolling hillsides at an altitude of 500 metres. All these grapes are carefully inspected by hand and picked at the right time to make the wine outstanding. Then it is aged for another 24 months in barrels of American oak from Hungary, hidden deep in our oldest wine cellar. The hills around the Rahovec Valley have been producing wines since Illyrian times and have been the epicentre of viticulture in this beautiful region for many centuries.

This wine reveals delightful aromas of exotic forest fruits, and a unique palette of flavours – full plums, apricot juice, and blueberry jam, leads to multiple layers of complexity and depth in the wine, culminating in a sensationally lingering finish.
